President of SAMA Canada

Born, raised and had her first job as a physics teacher in Pančevo, Serbia. Holds M.Sc. in Geophysics from Belgrade University where she worked at the Faculty of Mining and Geology for 6 years before coming with her husband to Canada in 1994. For two decades, she worked as a geophysicist for various mining companies while raising two children, a daughter currently at the university and a son in a high school. Presently Aleksandra lives with her family in Oakville Canada, and she is a high school math and physics teacher in the Greater Toronto Area.

Tanja Simeunović

Tanja was born in Belgrade, Serbia. She moved with her family and lived in South Africa for 9 years before moving to Canada in 2003. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing with a minor in Psychology. She currently works as a Registered Nurse in Ontario, Canada. Tanja is passionate about population health, health policy and increasing access to care.

Vukasin was born in Belgrade, Serbia. Before immigrating to Canada in 2003, he lived in South Africa. Vukasin holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies from York University, and is currently a student at Osgoode Hall Law School.

Nada Šimon-Hara

Originally from Subotica, Serbia, Nada holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy. While living in Belgrade, she worked at Yugolaboratorija as a technical sales specialist for quality testing and research instruments. In Canada she worked in accounting within Chemical and Property Management industries. She lives with her family in Toronto, and is a mother of two sons who are IT Professionals. Lately, her main focus has been to pass on her enthusiasm to her family and friends as well as to volunteer with different organizations and causes.
